Interesting subject matter, isn’t it? We have been talking about Science of Self, Self-Realization and why all of a sudden the post has come to the topic “Why GOD?”.
In short and sweet summary, Self-Realization without God Realization or without Scientific Understanding of God is not complete. Let’s look at various analysis to understand that existence of God, the absolute presence of God in every activity of this cosmic existence and beyond.
Before we go into any further detail, it is very important to understand and realize the difference between the body and the self, to see that how we are individual living beings different than our bodies. This post will help you see that.
Now that you have realized that you are not the body, rather you are a spirit soul, a living being, a Spiritual Living Being, a person we can go on understanding Why GOD and the existence of GOD.
Existence of GOD. Does GOD exist?
Just like nothing is coming out nothing, just like everything is coming out of something there must be one source from where everything is coming out. This establishes One Source. This is also presented in Srimad Bhagavad Gita As It Is Chapter 10 verse 8. “I am the source of all spiritual and material worlds. Everything emanates from Me. The wise who perfectly know this engage in My devotional service and worship Me with all their hearts.” Now this One Source could be a person (living) or non-person (matter).
Just like behind any matter to work, there is a living being, similarly we can conclude that this whole universe which is made of five basic elements (earth, water, ether, air and fire) also requires a living being for it to work. This is nicely explained in Srimad Bhagavad Gita As It Is in chapter 7, verse 4. “Earth, water, fire, air, ether, mind, intelligence and false ego—altogether these eight comprise My separated material energies.” and Chapter 9 verse 10. “This material nature is working under My direction, O son of Kunti, and it is producing all moving and non-moving beings. By its rule this manifestation is created and annihilated again and again. “
Just like any company does not hire dead people to work, just like burning a living person is criminal and not with the ‘dead’ body, just like any machine, whether it is a super computer or the tiniest Nano machine, requires a living operator, similarly we can conclude that this whole cosmic creation also requires a living being, an operator.
Just like a new baby is born to combination of living parents and not dead ones, similarly all living being must have one living being as the source. Very simple truth Life comes from Life.
Now above established that the source is a living being and not dull matter. Let’s established that this one living being is the Supreme Living Being, whom we call as GOD, The Absolute Truth, Allah, Jesus Christ, or Krsna – The All Attractive One.
Ask yourself, what actually have I created? In reality I have created nothing. We can create nothing. We can claim creating xyz things but in reality we do not have any capacity to create something. Actually every one of us is just manipulating the existing resources as given by GOD. We manipulate air, water, ether, fire and earth. Thus you, me and anyone else can’t claim that we are Supreme at the same time can’t deny that there is a Supreme Person and our existence depends on that Supreme Person.
